Specialist Fitout Services Ltd (S.F.O.S.) began trading March 2005, headed by Director Peter Atherton. With extensive experience within the industry, SFOS has quickly become a market leader in bespoke joinery.

The key to our success in this industry is simply implementing the company’s strategy for continuous development, training and innovation to keep abreast with the latest developments, such as solid surface worktops, bespoke products and design.

Covering all bespoke joinery to include hardwood windows, doors, staircases, newel posts, spindles and handrails.

In 2007 SFOS branched out into Solid Surface work surfaces and has since been awarded LG Hi-Macs Quality Club Award which is only given to a few companies throughout the UK for their attention to detail and quality installations giving the client a 15 year guarantee on the product.

Also in 2007 SFOS expanded their services to include Shopfitting, this service has now been extended to Clients such as Cineworld Cinema’s, Holiday Inn as well as Schools and Colleges throughout the UK.

In 2008 SFOS started using a metal fabrication company to manufacture Be-spoke Stainless Steel Staircases, Handrails, Changing Rooms for School and Colleges and after 20 or so projects they have found success with a combination of SFOS products and Metal Fabrication.

Peter has teamed up with Brian Young and formed Moorcroft Metal Fabrications which will give SFOS more flexibility for new and existing projects.

SFOS has put money into training and has 3 apprentices, 2 have now completed their NVQ 2 and 3 training and will spend the next 2 years getting experience.
